Jochen Rindt – the first Austrian to win a Formula One World Drivers Championship , achieved this feat in the year 1970 and the 12th driver to win a Formula One World Drivers Championship. He is the only driver to posthumously win the Formula One World Drivers Championship , after being killed in practice for the Italian Grand Prix. In 2005 Austrian post honored him by issuing a “special issue series” stamp. The stamp portrays a picture of Jochen Rindet , a racing car and signature across the stamp.
