Ayrton Senna and his racing skills doesn't need any introduction as he is
considered as one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula
One racing. He won 3 world championships ( 1998 , 1990 & 1991 )
during his career which spans from 1984 to 1994. He
died due to a car crash in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at the
Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Italy.
He
holds world records in Formula One racing which are unbeatable till
date. Some of them include most consecutive pole positions # 8 ,
most consecutive starts from front row # 24 & youngest triple
World Champion at the age of 31 years, 227 days.
Monaco
post issued a stamp in 2009 to commemorate the 50th birth anniversary
of Ayrton Senna (1960-1994). The stamp contains the art work
portrait of Senna, a Formula One racing car and a race track.
