Turkish Grand Prix 2005

Turkey hosted their first Formula One Grand Prix race in 2005. It released a commemorative stamp which has a portrait of a racing car , the official F1 symbol and the words "Turkish Grand Prix Istanbul 2005".

Interestingly..in the history of Formula One there is no single driver from Turkey. The circuit - Instanbul park has been called "the best race track in the world" by Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone.
